I wonder, sometimes, if anyone is reading this.

And then I wonder if I want them to be.

I have to assume there are readers--that is, I have to remember that anything I write here is effectively public. Nonetheless, I noodle along, and wonder who's out there.

I follow the journals of people I've never met, and have no particular connection to. And wonder if there's anyone doing that here. Or whether old friends, or acquaintances, are keeping up with me, and whether you'll say hi.

It might be nice to know. In the meantime, I'll cherish the mystery.
