I just took a nice hot bath, in the hope that it would soothe my left leg (there's a muscle soreness at the back of the thigh, just above the knee--not horrible, but enough that I decided not to go out and about after rye bread and clementines this afternoon). It seems to have done little if any good in that regard, but I had fun playing with the bright green translucent soap
elusis sent me and wondering what the herb embedded in the soap bar is. I also started rereading Kendall Hailey's The Day I Became An Autodidact, semi-randomly: it caught my eye and is paperback (though trade) and thus not too heavy. She's having a lot of fun with books at this point (page 13) and observing that while she loves her family, it's for the best that she loved them and then got to know them.
Julian wandered in late in my bath and started sniffing around; when I got out, he was standing on the edge of the tub, and he continued to look at the water, interestedly, as I let it drain, took my towel, and wandered out.
