Does anyone know how to get glitter makeup (it's purple stuff that sticks to skin, apparently a mix of fine purple powder, fine glittery powder, and some kind of adhesive) off of something? Specifically, off/out of a backpack.

I tried wiping it down, with both damp and dry cloth, ages ago. No noticeable effect except to spread the glitter a bit more. Then I put it aside and used a different pack.

The different pack has worn out, so I've returned to the original problem. Vacuuming had no noticeable effect. (Well, it got rid of some dust and cat fur that had accumulated while the pack sat in the corner being ignored, but it did nothing to the glitter.) I suspect that the pack would be bad for a washing machine, or vice versa, given all the straps and such.

Before anyone suggests just ignoring the glitter, I'm fairly sure that, while it doesn't want to leave the backpack, it would be quite happy to spread to the surface of anything I put inside, and to my hands if I touched the wrong bit of the pack.
