For my reference (copied from an email sent last Thursday, and backdated to match):
I wound up not seeing the doctor in person this afternoon, because I was coughing hard for a while yesterday, and feeling fatigued. I was feeling better this morning, but called the doctor's office and asked them whether, given that I'd been having those symptoms yesterday, I should still come in.
They asked some questions about other symptoms, and the doctor and I agreed that it made sense for me not to go there today. Instead, I will talk to Carmen when she's back next week, and we'll decide whether to have me come in sometime in the next fortnight, or wait until mid-July.
(Noting here that the appointment showed up as cancelled on the patient portal, so I don't expect to be getting a bill for the copay, as I would have if we'd done an actual telemedicine visit.)
