I recently bought a pint of Lizzy's excellent strawberry ice cream, in part because I didn't see a strawberry ice cream I either know I like, or wanted to try, at the supermarket. That got me wondering, because strawberry used to be one of the default flavors. So, I googled to try to find out what the most popular ice cream flavor is right now. I got several different answers, all from plausible sources, and all recent.
(What I have right now is chocolate, strawberry, black raspberry, and ginger. The chocolate is Brigham's, the others are Lizzy's, since neither Tosci's nor Rancatore's is especially convenient to where I'm living, and Lizzy's is keeping their Harvard Square shop open this winter.)
