Yesterday evening I had dinner with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
papersky and a few other people. She emailed us the day before to see if we were available, after finding that her train likely would arrive at the officially scheduled 6:30 instead of 9 or after. (New York is more-or-less the last stop on her book signing tour, though I gather today will be business stuff at her publisher's office, not a reading.)
So I rearranged my schedule a bit, to involve gym in the afternoon and then dinner, instead of leaving in the morning withcattitude, going to the gym, and then coming back uptown. I thought about locations, realized that it was basically as easy for me to meet Jo and Z at the train station, and help them with geography/logistics, as to meet them at the restaurant. (I had to get across town either way, and the railroad station and its subway station have escalators and elevators.) I'm fairly sure this made their trip a little easier, and it got me more time to talk with Jo (Z was being pretty quiet, except for telling me about some stuff he got at the Field Museum), so definitely the right choice.
