I hope to get back to look at the many comments/introductions over on liv's journal soon, and maybe add some people to my reading list.

Anyone who is here because of that post, welcome.

I'm still thinking about my recent trip to England to offer my mother support while her husband* died, and should probably start first-drafting a post or three about that (in Notepad or something). In the meantime, I'd like to note that I saw lots of daffodils in my neighborhood this evening (in Isham Park, along Broadway between Isham and 215th Streets, in case any locals are reading this).

*It seems odd referring to him as my stepfather, given that they married when I was in my twenties, though that's what I'm telling the HR department.
