I've had a mostly quiet weekend with
adrian_turtle, in which we managed to include a side trip to Rancatore's, and thus pear sorbet, in necessary errands. Mostly quiet in part because neither of us had a lot of energy; also, we'd considered a free outdoor performance of Love's Labours Lost but were put off by afternoon thunderstorms. Saturday's lunch was at an Ethiopian restaurant on Mass Ave. in Somerville; I'd not had Ethiopian food in years, and in this case much liked the lamb dish and found the lentils bland. (This may be an inevitable risk of avoiding anything labeled spicy on the menu of an Ethiopian restaurant.)
Amtrak air conditions the Acela trains heavily, but fortunately I was prepared with the all-purpose cardigan. The person behind me on the way up got into distractingly loud conversations with two consecutive seatmates on the way up, so on the way back I made a point of sitting in the quiet car.
