Nothing horrible, it just was a more difficult day in terms of the post-gall-bladder-surgery recuperation than most of them have been lately. I'm not sure why there was more pain, though I did notice some as soon as I got out of bed (most days lately it doesn't hit until I'm at work, and have been not-horizontal for a couple of hours). So, more painkillers, and thus I wasn't as fast mentally as usual. As good, I think, based on what I was doing at work and the things I caught—another cold read on a math book that's already been through editing and copyedit, and what I've caught includes a significantly flawed proof—but it felt as though I was a bit slower. This may just mean that my time sense was a bit distorted, as Marta and Susan seemed surprised and pleased by my pace.

So, I did not go to the gym this evening; I came straight home, and have done nothing more strenuous than finish the peach pie and write this entry.

I also surprised Marta this afternoon by saying "I'm having fun" as I checked geometry proofs. The section on basic logic, complete with truth tables, was more fun, as well as easier for me: that stuff I probably could do in my sleep. But I was enjoying this too. Marta's reaction was that she was glad it was me instead of her, and I noted that she'd probably gotten considerably more tired of geometry than I had (she's been there longer than I have, and does math all the time, not my mostly-science mix).
