Instead of running a bunch of errands after work Friday, then coming home and doing something (anything) interesting with my time to myself, I abandoned the last two errands, came home, made a cup of tea, and then took a 2.5-hour nap despite the caffeine. Saturday was a rest day, and I'm taking things moderately easy today as well.

The areas around the incisions still hurt in what seems a semi-random fashion. Yes, more likely if I sit up for long than if I'm lying down or reclining. I think, but am not sure, that standing intermittently eases things. And yes, more if I'm wearing pants, with a waist that can press on the incisions, than if I'm wearing something that doesn't press, or nothing at all. Aspirin helps some. Vicodin helps some, but it makes for a slightly fuzzier [livejournal.com profile] redbird. [It's a pill containing a narcotic and acetominophen.]

I had something with wine in the sauce for the first time since the surgery, for dinner last night; when [livejournal.com profile] cattitude suggested the idea, I decided it had been long enough since the previous Vicodin that there was no risk to speak of.

I'm deliberately not making plans for next Friday afternoon, because I really do need time alone while awake, and if I can use the half-days that way, it makes things significantly easier on Cattitude.
