Having talked this over a little with
cattitude, and thinking about something
adrian_turtle pointed out, it's also possible that there's something specific to yogurt that my system is having problems with, rather than either lactose or milk proteins. This would still be a nuisance, but giving up yogurt is far less of a change than giving up yogurt, milk, ice cream, butter, et cetera.
