redbird: me in Inwood hill park (park)
( Dec. 23rd, 2005 10:54 am)
My boss called last night and asked if I could stay on through the end of January.

I said yes.

This is good for the short term, of course--I continue to have a job in a convenient location, for a boss I like working for. It's also good for the longer term, because it'll be easier to get that hoped-for job on the company's national social studies program if I'm applying from inside.

Mark Varsano charmed me: when I said I wanted "a half pound of this and that" he got out the box and said "orange peel." He was right, of course--I always get some chocolate orange peel, because [livejournal.com profile] cattitude is so fond of it.

Then I went to the gym, where I added ten pounds to my leg press without meaning to, and without noticing until I was removing the weight plates.
