This isn't a work grump: the job and my boss continue cool. Rather, the Powers that Be are moving lots of people around in the office. Thus far, I know that I will be moving on Friday. I know this only because Edie told me this, but because the memo that various people--but not I--received this morning shows someone moving to my current desk. What I don't know, and neither does Edie, is where I'm being moved to.
Also, the cafeteria, which usually gets this right, messed up today, and my tea tasted vaguely of coffee. I drank it anyway, because I needed the caffeine, but I was Not Happy. I've been getting tea there daily for months, and this is the first time the water was coffee-contaminated. I may mention the problem to them later, if I go down there again at a quiet time. (I brought lunch, but might buy some soup; buying another cup of tea seems iffy, under the circumstances.)
It doesn't help that I woke up too early; as far as I can tell, I went to sleep, tired, on Daylight Saving Time, and woke on Standard Time. This is not supposed to happen in November.
