I took
cattitude to the Museum of Modern Art this afternoon, since my current (for another few days) employer has a corporate membership that gets us in free with my company ID card. We took a brief look at the special "Cezanne and Pisarro" exhibit, and decided it was too crowded for us--no real surprise, on a Sunday afternoon.
So we wandered through some of the permanent exhibit. I'd forgotten how small Dali's The Persistence of Memory is; Cattitude took a long look at van Gogh's Starry Night; my current feeling is that I like Matisse's sculpture better than his paintings; and I wish they had more Calders. We wound up sitting for a bit in the sculpture garden, then heading home.
My feet were sore by the time we were done, and I was and still am feeling mentally fuzzy. But it was a good outing.
