[livejournal.com profile] julian_tiger has now been living with me and [livejournal.com profile] cattitude for 366 days. Cattitude mentioned yesterday that it had been almost a year; he thought we'd gotten Julian on June 26th of last year. Well, one advantage of keeping a journal is that I can check things like this, and the entry with the subject line "CAT!" announcing that we'd gotten him is from June 19, 2005.

He's a good cat, albeit a bit weird.

This is a first draft of what I want to send to the salwar kameez vendor. What's missing is a statement of what I want: refund? Replacement? I'm not sure, which is why that's not in there yet. Other than that, have I left anything significant out, based on my posting earlier?

Unfortunately, the salwar kameez you sent does not match the measurements I gave you, with the result that it does not fit me.

The salwar trousers are too short: they do not come up to my natural waist, and the inseam is too short. Also, no drawstring was included, so the trousers will not stay up.

The kameez, on the other hand, is too small. Specifically, the sleeves are tight enough around my biceps to be unpleasantly constricting, and the bodice is also too tight. The combination of these problems means that not only is the garment uncomfortable, I was unable to remove it once I put it on. In the end, in order to get out of it, I was forced to use a scissor and cut along the left side of the kameez.

I have my spare Palm Pilots; I have sync'd them to my desktop data, labeled them as spares and the sync date, and taken one of them out of the hard case that it came with, because I may want to use the case on the current PDA (a clone, but a fine clone).

I know where I put the two spares I just sync'd, and I'm confident I'll come across the third (received, and thus charged and dated, sooner), probably in a different drawer.

Having three spares is reassuring: by the time they all wear out, there will probably be another device I'm happy with on the market.
