Despite being a poor sick [livejournal.com profile] redbird (with a doctor's appointment in a little while), I sent off a resume this morning, to an organization that needs proofreaders full-time for a couple of months.

Apparently my resume still looks good: I'm going in for a proofreading and copyediting test tomorrow. And I am going to take things as easy as possible before and after.

One good thing is that the ad specifically mentioned that at least some telecommuting is possible.

Some pieces of Spring have started late this year, and today it's as if we're having it all at once: two gorgeous lilac bushes fully in bloom a block away from forsythia still showing as much yellow as green.

The flowering cherries are in full bloom along the streets of the west Bronx, and a few here in Inwood as well. Daffodils and tulips and violets, late magnolia and dogwood, petals drifting down from the pear trees in the wind, dandelions and the first smell of mown grass.

If the weather allows, I may just sit in Central Park all afternoon tomorrow. But that might be too great a temptation, the Lilac Walk near the Great Lawn and the cherry trees west of the reservoir.
