Much-needed rest

I did almost as little as I had planned today. I made a batch of cakelings, because I wanted to try adding dried orange peel. (Conclusion: it probably needed to soak in hot water a bit first; this wasn't a problem when I used it in pilaf, where it effectively soaked in hot broth for 20 minutes.) And I put on clothes to go outside, because I'm a happier Vicki when I get outdoors during the day every day, at least for a few minutes.

But mostly I've spent the day playing computer games and a bit of playing with the cat; at the moments when it seemed that we were humoring each other, I stopped. If he doesn't want to bounce around, and I'm only pulling the toy out because he might want it, I may as well put it away.

Tomorrow I may repeat this agenda.
