  • I am more than slightly disconcerted that I can do arithmetic in my head not only faster, but much more accurately, than one of my coworkers managed with a calculator.

  • To the list of startling foods that [livejournal.com profile] julian_tiger likes enough to demand more of, add mango ice (in popsicle style, as marketed by Delicioso Coco Helado). Less amusingly, he managed to step on just the wrong sequence of answering machine buttons late this afternoon, and delete all the saved messages.

  • This low-grade illness is starting to remind me of Yossarian's liver complaint.

Name a CD you own that nobody else on your friends list does:

The artist is Tengger, but I can't name the album, because there's no printing in any alphabet I can read on the label. (I bought it after hearing him give a concert.)

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

This is difficult at best, because [livejournal.com profile] cattitude and I have a combined book collection. Shall we try The Jewish-Japanese Sex and Cookbook and How to Raise Wolves, by Jack Douglas? (I suspect even the least Tiptreeish, to say nothing of least delightful, of the things I got in the mail as a Tiptree juror will fail because at least one of my fellow jurors won't have cleaned out her [1] stack either.)

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has: Tsuen Wan, NT, Hong Kong. (We were there to hear Tengger--the other half of this "we" is my friend and traveling companion L, who will probably never be on LJ.)

[I own no DVDs/movies--though Cattitude does--and thus own none that nobody else on my friends list does.]

[1] Yes, there was (as always) one male juror. For some reason, all the women on my year's jury have LJs, and he doesn't.
