I've felt creaky most of the day: aches in various leg and foot joints. Nonetheless, I persevered.

I left the house with [livejournal.com profile] cattitude this morning, and voted in the Democratic primary. [livejournal.com profile] porcinea, I followed your suggestion. And then straight back home (it's two blocks each way) instead of walking with him.

I sent out an invoice for the office work I did Friday and Monday. I did a couple of hours of proofreading, and talked to Alda a few times in the course of that (scheduling and similar exciting matters).

After lunch, I girded my loins, grabbed a light jacket, and went to run errands despite creaks. The hawthorn is duly mailed, a prescription picked up, and there are yellow crocuses in bloom on 215th Street.

And I just took a batch of cinnamon/orange/chocolate chip cakelings out of the oven.

Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive optician in New York City (or nearby Westchester or New Jersey)? I'm thinking seriously of reusing an older pair of frames, so discounts on frames+lenses aren't especially relevant (I have a coupon from Lenscrafters if I want to go that route).
