The potential employer/client in Montreal sent email saying no thank you. A very polite no, saying they were impressed by my qualifications and will keep my resume on file, but a no.
Maybe they gave the job to their brother-in-law and they were always going to. Maybe they're Masons -- this is what my aunt always says when anyone fails to get a job, she believes in a conspiracy of Masons who employ each other preferentially.
