I had hoped/planned to get an earlier start today. My goal had been to either be up-and-out to the gym in the morning, or be working on the (extended, meaning deadline is tomorrow) taxes by now.

But first I seem to have misread the clock: I was startled, after writing a few [livejournal.com profile] turboapa mailing comments, to discover that it was already 9:45. Second, [livejournal.com profile] cattitude appears to have been out gaming very late, and is still asleep, which means I can't start on the taxes. And if I left now (or in 15 minutes, to allow time to wash and dress), I'd get to the gym in the middle of the lunch rush, which is Not Good.

But I've written those comments, caught up on LJ and a quick scan of a news page (letting the BBC assure me that the world is still there), and had breakfast: yogurt and yellow plums, the latter picked up on the way home from dinner with [livejournal.com profile] roadnotes yesterday. Once Cattitude is up, we can sort out what happens next.

I got the mammogram results by mail yesterday: everything looks fine. The letter included the statement that 10% of breast cancers cannot be detected by mammogram, and I should "continue" having annual breast exams from my doctor. Right on cue, this morning someone called from my doctor's office, to make an appointment for same. So that'll be next week. I anticipate another episode of having a perfectly nice woman examining my breasts, possibly using her hands this time, and my being basically bored by the whole thing. And I get to pay for the privilege (there's a $15 "copay" per office visit, though the mammogram was entirely on HIP).
