I was a little slower getting out this morning than I'd planned, in part because I turned over and went to sleep another hour at the time I'd meant to get up. I washed, had breakfast and a second cup of tea, and headed out just as it started to snow (around 10:30, having aimed for 10).
I had a good, thorough workout ( numbers )
On my way to lunch, I ran into Diane, an ex-coworker, who asked what I'm doing. I told her I'm freelancing, and when she asked who I mentioned the Japanese client and then asked if she needed people. To my surprise, she said she might. I didn't have a card handy, so she asked me to call her,. I have left a message on her voice mail, with both telephone number and email address. This would be useful, if slightly weird.
After lunch, I walked over to Columbus Circle, where reflexes took over: I was getting off the A at 181st Street when I remembered that I'd meant to take the 1 and go to Fairway. Ah, well. I have fresh rye bread, and
cattitude picked up the most urgent of the things I would have gotten at Fairway.
And now the laundry is in.
