The letter carrier just delivered two large, friendly boxes from webbob, with a laptop and assorted accoutrements inside. I think this means I can write at the library, write in the park, write at alt.polycon. Write and edit. This should increase my flexibility, versatility, all that good stuff.

a little bit of good news

For roadnotes and anyone else who can use it:

I came in this evening, after a decent workout, with two kinds of apples (Galas for eating, and Cortlands for pie) to find a message that someone I sent a resume to a while ago may have freelance work for me. Since I've earned about $60 this week, this is definitely good news.

I got through everything I wanted to, which took almost two hours.

Hayek is surprisingly convincing as whoever it is she's playing.

The movie is Frida, directed by Julie Taymor, and the reviewer's thesis is that the movie, despite the title, is about Taymor, not Kahlo. The sniping is not aimed at Hayek, but I somehow doubt she's going to put this review in her press kit.
