I was thinking of wallowing in my mood yesterday: long hot baths, hot chocolate, that sort of thing. But I never got around to it. Yesterday's main accomplishment was getting the laundry done--but half of it is still waiting to be folded, because [livejournal.com profile] cattitude had gone off to gaming before it was done.

I stayed up late doing nothing in particular, until the cat yowled most emphatically to remind me that (a) she should be fed and (b) I should come to bed now rather than going back to the computer after feeding her. So there I am, explaining "I'll be right in, but first I have to brush my teeth" to an elderly, half-deaf feline who ignores me because she can't hear me. But at least she got me to bed--someone had to.

The plan was to head out around 3, go to the gym, then meet [livejournal.com profile] cattitude and a few other people for a movie.

Instead, I started the dishwasher, grabbed a bowl of ice cream, and went back to the computer.

A little before 4, I realized there was no way I'd have enough time at the gym to do much of value. But we do have a mat and a few small hand-weights. So: bicep curls with the 8-pound weight, 3 sets of 15 on each arm. On the mat, 3 sets each of 15 crunches--I hate crunches, and taking a break does not make them easier--and 15 back arches, alternating sets. A side stretch cattitude showed me, with the 3-pound weight, just a few reps on each side. What I think were chest presses (I usually use a machine for that), 8 pounds, ten on each side. 20 more bicep curls on each side, just because. And ten squats, with a definite sound of moving something in my right knee, enough reason to stop.

So I'm sweaty, need to get out of the exercise clothes, and wondering if I need to shower again before going off to meet people for Spirited Away.
