I got back to the gym today, after a couple of weeks (blame the combination of illness and inconvenience). It can't have been too long: the guy at the front desk remembered that I wanted two towels.

A good workout: half an hour of cardio (I rarely manage that long), and a bunch of work with weights. I took the weight down slightly on one machine because it had been a bit--and on another, halfway through, because while the first set was fine, I couldn't get through the second at the weight I'd started with. But increased it slightly on another, which I'm pleased and surprised by. I'm going to have strong triceps! *giggle*

Sitting here now with a big mug of PG Tips tea, and the windows open to Spring. Life is good.

I got a letter from the people I interviewed with a couple of weeks ago. They hired someone else. It's a very polite letter--ending with an offer to "be of assistance in the future", which Andy suggests means I can send her a note asking if she knows of anyone who's hiring--but still a no.

The weird part is, I didn't particularly want the job, because the logistics were so awkward. But being turned down is never fun.

Meanwhile, I'll be invoicing for a whole 4.5 hours for this week (ending today): he's got work for me tomorrow, but maybe not a whole day, unless I want to do some "data entry and indexing". I told him I'd have to see what it involves: entering corrections, sure. Straight typing, no.
