I spent my 12 euros, and waited a bit for the nice folks at Gandi to fix something with their servers, and my weblog now lives at www.yawl.org.

The current cheap redirect set-up doesn't have the back issues there, but the price (in energy as much as cash) was right.

My Weblog has an issn and its own domain.

But hasn't been updated today, because nothing has caught my eye. Nusuth.

Someone I sent a resume and cover letter to wants to see me tomorrow.

We talked a little bit, over the phone, about what the job involves. It's a two- or three-week contract gig, proofreading, $20/hour. Not great, but I think I'd be good at it--I've worked with indexes before, and that's what this is on--and it's real work, in my field.

And since it's a short-term gig, I suspect he's not spending a lot of time interviewing lots of people: in other words, that my chances are good.

I am pleased.

I'll be more pleased if I get it: and less so when I'm done up in job-seeker drag and on my way to the interview. I took the soonest time offered, which has the advantage of being mid-afternoon, so I can be sure of a good night's sleep and a real meal first. Afterwards, depending on timing, I either come home and change into proper walking shoes, then go out again, or head directly to dinner with friends and a show.
