More specifically, I can't deliberately spend a day at home, very lazily, and with several hours alone scheduled in, and be out socializing. And I really wouldn't have had the energy to go to the piano bar last night, and still make it to work this morning in anything like a competent form, and I'm fairly sure I needed the time alone; with my current work schedule, I have to make a point of planning this, and arranging it with
cattitude, or I don't get any. Nonetheless, I'm sorry to have missed seeing
athenais while she was in town, especially since I had trouble falling asleep last night. (N.B. I was still asleep before midnight, probably 11:15 or 11:30--but that's later than is good for me when I have to rise at 6:15.) I'm hoping that this evening's exercise will give me body tiredness to go with the need for rest, and that I'll be asleep an hour from now.
Oh, the usual gym notes:
Cardio, 15 minutes, top heart rate 137--a little more than a warm-up.
Expressline:
Seated leg press, 305 pounds, 12.
Leg extension, 55 pounds, 12. (The trainer didn't want to increase the weight on this and the leg press at the same time; had she said so before I did the leg press, I'd have taken this one up instead. Nusuth. I'll do it next time.)
Leg curl, 90 pounds, 12.
Lat pulldown, 75 pounds, 12. She gave me some useful hints about positioning/form on this one, including leaning forward when the weights are going back up.
Overhead press, 25 pounds, 12. (I want this back to 30 again.)
Vertical chest, 45 pounds, 12.
Biceps, 35 pounds, 12, but barely--I had trouble with the last two reps.
Triceps, 35 pounds.
Calf machine: 70 pounds, 15, 8; 67.5 pounds, 7 (with some difficulty--I suspect I should have gone to 65 pounds when I had to interrupt the second set at 70.
Stretches.
