I did the Xpressline--added five pounds to everything except the lat pulldown and shoulder press, and did 12 reps on everything--stretched, showered, dressed, walked half a mile to the bank, and then got on the subway. This got me home just after 8 pm. I'm considering one absolute minimal workout, one more like last week's Xpressline workout, and one proper workout on the weekend as a weekly schedule, combining exercise with seeing ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cattitude (and even other people) and getting enough sleep.
Inwood is scented strongly with honey locust, and intermittently with hawthorn and the very last of the lilac. There are fewer locusts in Port Washington, and they're a day or two behind.
I saw roses (looking to be of the rugosa sort, but both white and magenta) in bloom at the Manhasset LIRR station this afternoon.
A swan was chasing geese on the tidal flats just west of the Douglaston station this morning; a swan (possibly the same one, or his mate) was sitting on a nest very close to that spot this afternoon. Nesting swans are one of many things that look odd from above when you're used to seeing them straight ahead.
