roadnotes this afternoon. We had tea and pastry and talked, and then I had hot chocolate, and then we walked up to a store where she thought she might find a new trench coat. They had none suitable, so we tried another store. That one had no trench coats at all, but I bought two long-sleeved t-shirts (in boring black and navy blue, but they'll do the job until it's short-sleeve weather).
We had a good time, talking about friends and family and relationships (overlapping topics, needless to say) and generally catching up on things we hadn't put in our journals, and expanding on things we had. I'd been feeling still-grumpy this morning, but figured, correctly, that I'd enjoy seeing her, and hoped, also correctly, that my overall mood would improve.
