My right shoulder was sore last night. I took aspirin, and eventually went to sleep.

This morning, half-awake, I turned over on my right side. Bad Idea. Sharp pain. I got out of bed, carefully; took two aspirin, carefully; made a big cup of tea, also carefully; and am now hoping the aspirin do some good soon.

ow 3-(

i've been having bad back muscle pain for the last 24 hours so I can definitely empathise.

does asprin work for you usually? for me it does an adequate job of reducing a fever but not much else. for bad pain i usually eat something or drink some milk and take 2 ibuprofen ( so as to avoid the upset stomach thing).

Have you tried Alleve? They work well for me (or did - can't take any NSAIDs anymore *sigh*), and last for about 8 hours.

Ow. *hug*

Have you tried a really hot tub-bath? Have you tried sitting/lying with a hot water bottle on it? (Inside a button-up shirt often works well for shoulders? Have you tried deep heat/tiger balm?

Painkillers kill pain, which is very nice to have taken away, but pain is there as a warning that something is wrong that might need treatment rather than just covering up.

Sympathies and best wishes from a bad back pain sufferer.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

Obviously, I haven't been running much since the end of September, but I still recall those aches and pains.

A hot bath (a shower if you don't have a tub, but a bath is preferable) and ibuprofen might work a bit better than aspirin.
