A slow start this morning, after not going to the gym yesterday (it didn't quite seem prudent).
Still, I did get down to the bakery yesterday afternoon (and climb lots of stairs in the process, again), and I made us a fine dinner, lamb shanks in a lemony sauce with onions.
I also repurpled my hair, this time with
cattitude pointing out spots I had missed in back and on the sides. I'm pleased with the effect.
The latest word on the current paid project was a request for rewrite, with alleged attached sample chapters, but no attachment. That arrived around 4:30 yesterday. I wrote back, pointing out the omission, and haven't yet heard.
I'm in the sort of mood where I'm not sure I want to hear from them right now, despite having little else on my plate other than a trip to the gym and trying to sort out the problems of the novel-in-progress. (The problem, at this point, is that I don't know enough about Crescent's motivation and thinking to know how it will respond to what Mrs. Fish has done. I may have to just dive in, start typing, and see if anything useful comes out.) But the longer they delay, the more likely I am to be handed an implausibly tight deadline.
Current plan is to go up to Pleasantville tomorrow for NYRSF work weekend, but a tight deadline on paid work would override that.
