I have a bit more time on this project--the deadline that I had thought was tomorrow turns out to be "either you or I have to have a chapter done by late Thursday, and if we both can that would be great." I've told him that I can, of course. Meanwhile, as far as I can tell I need to flesh out the stuff on China, fit in some significant inventions and other "advances" (irrigation and metal weaponry, for example), with a goal of 3500 words in a document that's now a bit over 3600. Okay, tomorrow I write about irrigation and such, and either tomorrow night or Thursday I edit.

I got out to the bank and the gym today, but didn't buy chocolate, or rye bread, or sunglasses, because it was dark and annoyingly cold and windy by the time I finished at the gym.

Hip adduction, 110 pounds, 12, 12, 13 (I figured I might as well try pushing even harder on the third set, though this is the first time I've done it at that weight). Hip abduction, 85 pounds, 2 sets of 14.
Cardio, 33 minutes, heart rate got up to 153-154 for the last part.
Bench press, 50 pounds, 12, 12, 10
Seated leg curl, 70 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Seated row, 100 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Leg extension, one leg at a time, 10 pounds, 2 sets of 10 each. Ouch! I'd originally meant to do three sets, but it was hard enough getting myself through the second set. I hope my knee-areea muscles appreciate this later.
Crunches and arches, 3 sets of 15 each. My wrists hurt when I put weight on them during cat-and-camel stretches afterwards, though. Yoga tree, only did so-so.
Triceps pull-downs, 35 pounds, 3 sets of 15.
Finished with stretches.
