From this morning's Heat Advisory announcement:
"This will be the 6th day in a row of 90+ degree temperatures. Residents need to take precautions to prevent from becoming a victim of this heat wave.
"Heat waves... such as the one we're currently experiencing... do kill. Among the first to suffer from the heat are children... the elderly and those with chronic ailments."
They then give the same sensible advice we've gotten all week: never leave children or pets alone in a car; drink plenty of fluids; stay in the shade; avoid strenuous activities; stay in air conditioning if possible. All of which I can and will do; the question is, whether going out to the gym and back, then out to the theatre in the evening, will be more strenuous than bouncing between air-conditioned bedroom and over-heated living room (the latter having the computer).
