[livejournal.com profile] cattitude took me out for a fine birthday dinner--crab cakes, duck with a raspberry sauce, and Persian lime pie (extra points for admitting that they can't get Key limes, nobody can)--at Henry's End, where I knew I could get a duck. I wrote a bit on the way out, and more on the way back. Like yesterday, I transcribed it when I got home, and made a few changes and expansions as I did--we're supposed to do Nanowrimo as first draft, but I can't retype without making a few changes, at this stage.

Current word count: 13,837. I'm not convinced that anything I wrote on the train advances the storyline, but it might, or might be made to. No fish in this episode.

In other good news, I've gotten my pay for editing that odd "Christian homework" manuscript.

!Feliz cumpleanos!

The dinner sounds absolutely nummy.

Yay on getting paid! You didn't sound like you were having the best of times editing that manuscript, so it must be so nice to have it behind you, now.
