Two strangers commented on my tattoos today.
The first started the conversation, in the elevator from my gym, by asking "Who did your tattoos?" I told her--Craig Cooley of Abstract Tribal Tattoo, on Eldridge--and she then said that she likes tattoos but doesn't have any. She used the word "hesitant." I pointed out that it doesn't hurt that much. That wasn't it: she's worried about how a tattoo will look when she's "90 and sagging". So I said that when I'm 90, the tattoos are likely to be the best-looking part of me.
She hadn't thought of that.
I don't think she's going to head right down to Craig to get a tattoo, but she may think about it.
The other was simple praise, the cashier at Amy's Bread telling me she liked my bird.
