A hot night, and a small turnout--not just for our group, but in the garden generally.

aiglet and agrumer and Arwen, and a pair of lurkers down from Boston, Pam and Michael. They were offering some sort of "see, we're really fans even though we only lurk" and mentioned Lenny Foner, and I said "I know him, but not from fandom, from Story Reading." Massive surprise, so I explained that I'd known Elizabeth (Autarch of Boston Story Reading) since we were both in New Haven. Pam mentioned a few other people, who I also know.
Basically, we hung out and talked; somewhere in there the friendly lurkers (who I rather suspect lurk on rasf.written rather than fandom) expressed surprise that we weren't talking about science fiction.
