Progress, if that's the word I'm looking for, goes here. Actually, progress goes in word processor files. Progress reports go here. I know there's a community for nanowrimo, or maybe two or three of them. I find I don't want to join it. Which is weird. I've posted to some of the forums on the
NaNoWriMo web site, though I suspect them of being another way to not actually write this whatever-it-is (Science fiction? Some odd kind of romance?). So it goes here. Not actual novel excerpts, just mutterings about the work in progress.

I've posted a few times today to the forums, but am skipping the Manhattan socializing tonight, and going to write shortly. I've got pieces, notes, even some scenes, but I'm not sure where the beginning of this story is yet.

It's not weird at all. Most of the people doing NaNoWriMo are pretty dumb. That has less to do with anything specific about NaNoWriMo than with the fact that most people are pretty dumb.

Exactly. I'd read the fora if there were some automatic way to filter out the people who are simply foolhardy and include the people who, like us, are foolhardy *but* smart, but alas, technology can only do so much.
