I have set up lower-stress reading filters on Dreamwidth and LJ, because it seems a better (or less bad) option than either staying away from the sites altogether, or taking people off my reading/friends lists completely.
This shouldn't affect anyone except me, but if there's something you need me to see and I don't respond, email might be a good idea. (The only things I am sure I won't swap out of those filters temporarily are my partners' journals and the Daily Otter feed.)
Conversely, I hope nobody is assuming I will see their twitter posts, ever. I am there sporadically and unpredictably even in better times.
ETA: I will probably use these filters some days, and look at my whole reading list on others. I just want the option.
