LJ friends, I haven't been intentionally ignoring you: I've been trying to crosspost from Dreamwidth and not noticed that it wasn't working because I hadn't told DW I updated my LJ password. I'm poking at most (not all) of the last couple of months of entries to see if that will make them crosspost this time.

I don't know whether this is going to produce a flood of apparently new posts, or if it'll all be tucked away because they're flagged as from weeks ago.

For me -- being on LJ only -- it's been a Flood... but a welcome one even though anyone who is apparently _that_ Hyperactive makes me nervous. (Hey, I just spent a 3-hour morning at the Community Gardens, with only the accomplishment of screening & spreading two five-gallon buckets of compost, to cover an area of about three square feet in my plot. Yeah, I also did some functional puttering (as well as many bits of Resting), but even so....

Perhaps things have changed for the worse -- it's been at least a decade since I was up there, and that's a period of time that resulted in changes to San Francisco that I found shocking -- but the idea of searching-out a Trader Joe's when the Pike Place Market area is within reach flabberghasts me. (Mind you, I think TJ's started to go downhill when they added a third store to the chain, so feel free to disregard any whining&bitching from me in this sphere.)

Oh, well, yes, in that case... you guys have my permission to go to Trader Joe's. [Lordly wave of the hand.]

Mostly, I'm just Envious. there are lots of great places to go [for various Experiences] here in the Greater Los Angeles area, but none of them are _quite_ like similar places in the Seattle area, and I'm in a ridiculously-picky Nostalgic mood.

And along that line (though I'm not sure about the connection, if any) I think that, tomorrow, I'll pop over to the local Chinese Buddhist Temple (I think the largest in the Western Hemisphere, possibly aside from Toronto) and see if the cheerful Nuns & Church Basement Ladies still serve (vegetarian, of course) lunch... on a sliding scale from "free" to "as much as you want to donate" (with some reasonable/modest amount suggested).

It's nice to see all these posts! I was wondering how you were doing in your new home, and I keep forgetting I should look at DreamWidth in case things get bollixed up.

I was wondering where you'd gotten to! Mystery solved!
