Looking out a bus window this afternoon, I saw a banner "Let love form a family."

They weren't talking about marriage equality: we've won that fight here in New York. It's an agency that is trying to recruit foster parents.

The overlap is completely appropriate in multiple ways, though: adoptive and fostering families are among the people the anti-marriage* movement is willing to throw under the bus in their rhetorical insistence that REAL families are the ones that breed for THEMSELVES.

*Clearly they're anti-marriage--they want thousands or possibly millions fewer marriages, and they want it to be a cramped and specialized institution.
