I went to the gym yesterday afternoon, then waited out a storm cell, grabbed tea, and headed to Penn Station to meet [personal profile] adrian_turtle, who was coming in on a bus that dropped her across the street. I'm not sure how much good the rain did elsewhere in the city, falling on mostly dry soil, but Inwood picked up about a half inch the day before, and jewelweed that was looking droopy on Sunday is standing straight this morning.

Cardio, 13 minutes, top heart rate 130
Rolled out IT band etc.
Hamstring bridge, 4 sets of 9

I asked one of the trainers to show/remind me how to use the "A Bench" ab exercise thing; she did, and noted that it was designed to keep my spine aligned and stop me from leading with my neck. The latter is something I can definitely use. So, crunches lying on the A-bench, 2 sets of 15

Squats, 3 sets of 15
Calf raises, 3 sets of 15
Opposite arm/leg, 2 sets of 10
Some standing on the half roller for balance. Aligning it so I was right in front of the mirror turned out to make it harder; reflections in the more distant window were fine. (The sky was dark enough, at 3:30, for the windows to be acting as mirrors.)
Lunges, 2 sets of {10 with each foot forward}

Standing on balance platform:
Lat pulldown (round) 55 pounds, 2 sets of 12; 50 pounds, one foot, 12 each
Back exercise (square) 35 pounds, 2 sets of 12; one foot, 7 each
Triceps pulldown (square), 35 pounds, 3 sets of 12
Biceps curls standing on bosu, 10 pounds each hand, 15, 15, 10

Hip adduction machine, 80 pounds, 3 sets of 13
Hip abduction, 70 pounds, 11; 60 pounds, 9
