- We played "follow the eagle" for a while this afternoon. This means wandering around on the ground as necessary to watch the bird soaring overhead; the game is played until the eagle vanishes behind a hill or, in this case, in the trees.
- I found a pair of silver earrings I'd forgotten about: they're seashells, with a tiny rhinestone or something on one edge, hanging on long chains; I think they're by Laurie Edison. I'm wearing them now.
- For about half an hour, we had a locust sitting on the window screen. We thought at first it might be dead, and then it started buzzing. It's flown off now.
- An airline whose email list I'd fallen off (because I was getting the offers at work) mailed me a spiffy blue bouncy ball, with a note asking me to sign up again.
