This may have been my last session with Emilie for several weeks, since she is now 39+ weeks pregnant; I have tentative arrangements for Thursday afternoon, but shall check first. (For this, I'll look on Facebook: "I am in labor" is exactly the sort of thing for which one Facebook post instead of dozens of calls or emails makes sense, and one that's important enough I'll go look for it.) Yes, next Monday or Tuesday might have been better for me, but she sensibly pointed out that late this week was more likely to work.
I decided to see if I could do more lunges this time: yes. Also, my left elbow had been bothering me all day, but we didn't have to do as much workaround as I'd feared.
Cardio, 14 minutes, top heart rate 144
rolled out IT band etc.
Hamstring bridge, 4 sets of 9
Psoas, 1 each (while waiting for Emilie to walk over after finishing with her previous client)
Ab work (small ball), 3 sets of 10
Squats leaning on physio ball, 3 sets of 15
Calf raises leaning on physio ball, 2 sets of 15
Alternate arm/leg, 8 pairs
Catch with me standing on the foam roller, quite a bit, but in smaller series than sometimes; a couple of times Emilie said something that I found distracting enough that I needed to step off for a moment
Lunges, 4 sets of 10 (2 sets with each leg in front). I asked Emilie to check my form, and she assured me it was fine; what I mostly needed was for her to remind me that it's the back leg I lower, with the front staying put, not the other way around
Standing on balance platform:
Lat pulldown, 55 pounds, 2 sets of 12; 50 pounds, 12 on each foot
"Hug a tree," 25 pounds, 3 sets of 12
Back exercise, 25 pounds, 2 sets of 12; one foot, six each
Triceps pulldown, 25 pounds, 2 sets of 12; one foot, six each
