[personal profile] adrian_turtle had stuff to do yesterday afternoon, which made it a good time for me to go to the gym. After a bit of dithering, I went to the branch in Davis Square, because that's the closest to her house. It was an okay workout, though shorter than I'd have liked—a device I would have used for a few things was out of order. From there, instead of going directly to meet her in Belmont, I went to Central Square, partly because we needed something from the Harvest Coop and partly because ice cream is a temptation.

So, Toscanini's, where I was unable to resist a hot fudge sundae, made with vanilla and blackberry ice cream. Very nice. I think I may start using the gym in Central Square when I'm up here (though Davis still has the advantage of being closer). By the time I finished my ice cream, I was thinking that I might have ruined my appetite, and maybe a microsundae would have been more prudent. Fortunately, this didn't turn out to be a problem. (I don't usually have ice cream after working out; I do often have hot chocolate, which is easily available near the gym I usually use, in Manhattan.)

I have also left Emilie a message about scheduling for next week; if I don't hear back from her by the time I'm back in New York, I'll call again on Sunday.

A little standing on the foam roller, including on one foot; as usual, this worked better on the right foot than the left.
