I hadn't noticed the spell-checker; then again, I leave the thing on in Firefox, because I can use a typo-checker.

I use a lot of nonstandard words - like names and geography and technical terms and I might quote American spelling while my idiom is mainly British - in other words, even zero typos lead to a lot of red squiggles and that's driving me bonkers.

Graphic intrusions that I can't turn off (or need to remember to turn off every time) make me anxious, so I tend to avoid them.

What I really appreciate about asLJ is the ability to edit posts - it's a lot more convenient than using the website.
