redbird: me with purple hair (purple)

I had a nice workout today after my time sitting around outside a courtroom (this is an aspect of "jury duty". I also had a good workout with Emilie last Thursday, though we started late because her boss grabbed her for a discussion, and she didn't push the "I have a client" thing until I came looking for her at 6:30 for a normal 6:15 appointment (I was doing some useful stuff, and the clock wasn't in my line of sight). We continue to add new balance stuff, and it's mostly going well. I didn't work out Monday of last week because I was flying home from Madison, and I did only minimal exercise during Wiscon.

Today's details:
(I had done five more flights of stairs than usual before I got to the gym, because the subway stations I used to get to and from jury duty aren't accessible; the only accessible train in the area is the 6, which wasn't going to take me anywhere really useful. But so far, so good. (I'd taken ibuprofen mid-morning because one knee was hurting a bit.))
No cardio, because there wasn't a bike of the kind I like available when I got there.

Chest press, 55 pounds, 12, 8; 50 pounds, 4
Rolled out IT band, etc.
Hamstring bridge, 4 sets of 9
Squats leaning on exercise ball, 2 sets of 15
Calf raises leaning on exercise ball, 2 sets of 15
Some balance stuff standing on the foam roll, I had some difficulty, especially at first--it took a few tries to get on the roll and stay there even briefly.

Row sitting on ball, 40 pounds, 2 sets of 15; 35 pounds, 15
Squats standing on that blue squish dome thing, about 5, after a bit of just standing on it
Biceps curls standing on same, 5 pounds each hand, 20; 10 pounds each, 17. This was a new idea, because I wanted to do something standing on it, and I didn't think my quads were up for more squats between the stuff at the gym and the extra stairs. There was another trainer working in the area with a client, who was cheerfully encouraging about my balance stuff, including this: she's seen me with Emilie before.
Ab work on ball (since I suddenly remembered I hadn't done any): 12, 7
Psoas, 2 for each leg
Stretches
.
