The boasting first: Emilie was working with a first-time client (which I could tell from some overheard conversation). I was some distance away, and stepped onto the foam roller (the usual balance thing). And I overheard the client say something like "that's impressive." Emilie told her "you'll be doing that."
More details:
Less than two minutes of cardio, because I had nothing to read and cardio is boring. Also, I didn't want to spend too long at the gym; I had stuff to do at home.
Chest press, 55 pounds; 10, 50 pounds, 10
Squats leaning on ball, 2 sets of 15
Rolled out IT band
Calf raise with ball, 2 sets of 15
Standing on the foam roller: briefly, and with difficulty, on a relatively bare floor, and then moved to a mat when it became available and did a bit more. I want to try the standing on one foot with a bar in reach again on Thursday, I think.
Ab work lying on ball, 10, 6, 8
Biceps curl on ball, with barbell because I couldn't find appropriate-weight dumbbells: 20 pounds, 15 reps
Triceps pulldown, 35 pounds, 12, 7
Wrist curls, 30 pounds, 15, 6
Hip adduction, 70 pounds, 13, 9 (deliberately lower weight than I'd been using, since jumping back on this at 90 pounds after a long period off made my thighs hurt for a couple of days)
Note also: the cheerful bouncing from last Thursday may have been a problem: my knees started hurting before I got home, and weren't even close to right until Sunday. They seem okay now, though (I think I did 10 or 11 flights of stairs today).
