Tomorrow's forecast is for "high in the upper 90s". And all my to-dos for the next couple of days involve computer stuff, and the computer isn't air conditioned.

I predict another day of trying to get much done in the morning, and then alternating between spells out here, where I have the Internet and writing not-in-longhand and my kitchen (teakettle and refrigerator being the relevant parts on hot days), and the bedroom, where I can refresh while reading on the bed.

Good thing we got Moshe's back yard hacked into something resembling shape today, when it was hot but not oppressively so.

That really makes me want to visit NYC as soon as possible... Any long term outlooks for around next weekend? Having missed the end of my cousin's show, I'm torn between improving my life here and waiting for cooler weather in Manhattan. But then again, there's the urge to just get up and go -- this latter urge is more tenable accordingly as the load of freight is lighter.

Who amongst you and [livejournal.com profile] cattitude I should ask questions about LAN equipment, USB ports, connection sharing, and where to ship the related chunks of hardware? The laptop itself might be shippable, assuming I can still lay my hands on the box it came in, but is likely to be conveyed by, er, lap. But HPNA adaptors, batteries, chargers, docking stations, &c. and anything else that it might come with could certainly travel in steerage.
