I went to the gym near my office after work today: not only does it have a useful elevator between floors, but I'd forgotten my unlimited-ride metrocard this morning, so was happier not to pay an extra subway fare to go to my more usual place. Apparently I've gone to this one enough recently to look familiar: I got a "good to see you" from the desk person when I checked in, and a "I haven't seen you lately" from one of the trainers. (He also offered to answer any questions I had, and I wound up asking "Is this machine broken?" because it was very stiff when I tried to adjust it.)

This was mostly an upper-body workout. I also tried using a different exercise bike than usual, and it was set for a very tall person, meaning I briefly put most of my body weight on my left leg, fully extended: not good right now. Even after I got it adjusted, I didn't like it, so I went back upstairs and found one of my usual kind.

Cardio, 15:00, top heart rate 131
Stretches (the stretch thing is on the floor with the cardio gear, not the floor with the locker rooms and most of the weight machines and free weights)
Chest press, 50 pounds, 2 sets of 12
Balance ~fly, 5/25 (the trainer thinks those are pounds, but that seemed like a "what else would they be" rather than having considered the matter), 15 with each leg forward; 6/30, 10 each
Hip adduction, 90 pounds, 2 sets of 15
Abduction, 75 pounds, 9

Crunches, 2 sets of 30
Back arches, 17
Biceps curls, 10 pounds each hand, 2 sets of 20
