This morning at work I went from "things seem to be under control" to "I have too much to do, but I am not going to stay late tonight" to "oh, I guess it is under control." The first shift when I found that I hadn't actually finished a ToC [specification for a book, which we sent to the writer] two months ago before moving on to the next things, and the second when it turned out that there was less left to do than it had looked like at first glance.

So, work, a salad for lunch because I'd had almost no vegetables yesterday (lunch at Excellent Dumpling, half an order of sweet ginger duck and a few dumplings, then pork chops and rice for dinner), and to the gym in the evening.

I just feel compelled to tell you that the rhythm of your subject line has brought the phrase "millennium hand and shrimp!" into my head. For which I thank you.
